Frequently asked questions

Have a question?

What is a snagging inspection?

A snagging inspection is a detailed assessment of a newly built property to identify defects, incomplete work and areas that do not meet expected standards. The findings are documented in a report that can be shared with your developer for rectification

Ideally, your inspection should take place as soon as possible after legal completion and within your developer's snagging period. Many developers request defects to be reported within the first 14 days, making early inspections particularly important.

We inspect both cosmetic and functional elements of the property, including plastering and paintwork, doors and windows, flooring, tiling, brickwork, roofing, insulation issues, drainage, guttering and signs of rushed or incomplete workmanship.

Yes. You'll receive a comprehensive snagging report complete with photographs and clear descriptions of each issue identified. The report is designed to be forwarded directly to your developer.

Developers carry out their own quality checks, but an independent inspection provides an unbiased assessment focused solely on protecting your interests. With decades of construction experience, we know how a home should be built and where problems are most commonly overlooked.
