A property walkthrough is an informal, builder-led inspection carried out during a viewing. Michael Gibbs will assess the condition of the property, identify potential defects, highlight areas of concern and provide practical advice before you decide whether to proceed with the purchase.
Is this the same as a RICS survey?
No. This service does not replace a formal RICS survey or mortgage valuation. Instead, it provides you with the practical insight of an experienced builder who can identify likely repair costs, renovation challenges and issues that could affect your decision to buy.
What types of issues can you identify?
We look for visible signs of structural movement, damp, poor workmanship, roofing concerns, outdated services, drainage issues, potential maintenance problems and anything that could lead to unexpected costs after purchase.
Can you advise on renovation potential?
